Whirlpool NeoFresh: A Refrigerator Revolution

The designers drew inspiration from the shopping habits of consumers who shop for groceries weekly and expect large storage capacity and flexibility. The Whirlpool NeoFresh refrigerator is a one-stop solution for this consumer segment, offering a perfect blend of contemporary design and highly relevant regional innovations.

What sets the Whirlpool NeoFresh apart is its 6th Sense Deepfreeze Technology, which features full circular air flow in the freezer compartment. This prevents cold air from escaping when the freezer door is opened. The scientifically designed air tower and strategically placed vents let out cool and fresh air into different sections of the refrigerator, providing uniform cooling for long-lasting freshness.

The refrigerator also includes an "everyday fresh" tray, which allows for easy access to items at the back and corner of the fridge. Integrated at the bottom of the freshflow air tower, the Active deo keeps the refrigerator environment fresh and odour-free.

Whirlpool NeoFresh was realized using a variety of materials, including electrolytic zinc-coated steel for the cabinet, pre-coated, vinyl-coated stainless steel for the door, and Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene for the external plastic parts. The refrigerator was produced in Pune, India, and entered the Indian market on October 1, 2019. It is also available in Australia, South-East Asia, and the Middle-East.

The design of the Whirlpool NeoFresh refrigerator was based on extensive research, including market visits, consumer home visits, focus group discussions, and online surveys. The designers faced numerous technical constraints, particularly in developing the seal fresh crispers, but overcame these challenges to provide a product that offers the best in class performance and freshness preservation.

In recognition of its innovative design and functionality, the Whirlpool NeoFresh refrigerator was awarded Silver in the A' Home Appliances Design Award in 2021. The award is given to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that illustrate outstanding expertise and innovation.
